DUTIES

Operate company vehicle and equipment

Ensure company equipment is cleaned and organized

Ensure everyone on their crew is performing their assigned duties at all times

Ensure rig setup is performed correctly

Drive Equipment onto lease and watch for signals

Give signals to other drivers arriving on lease

Ensure jobs are done safely and per procedures

Communicate effectively with workers and oil company representative

Operate truck during rig move

Oversee all duties and paperwork necessary to perform each task

Communicate with Contractors, Consultants, and any other service companies

Order appropriate supplies
HEALTH & SAFETY

Ensure personal and crew safety training is kept up to date

Know and follow all appropriate rule and regulations

Ensure all equipment is inspected prior to use

Fill out Hazard assessment prior to each job

Communicate hazards with the crew

Conduct pre-job safety meetings

Fill out all applicable safety permits at each job site

Ensure all appropriate people have signed all permits

Ensure everyone on-site has appropriate PPE and it is in good condition

Encourage the refusal or any work that is unsafe

Drive the rig during rig move

Overlook all duties on rig floor to ensure they are being performed correctly and safely

DERRICK HAND
DUTIES
-
Must be knowledgeable of the health and safety program and all rules and regulations we are to follow

Actively participate in the development, maintenance, teaching, and training of our health and safety program

Refuse to perform work that is unusually dangerous and work you are not familiar with, you must be informed and knowledgeable of your tasks, you must be fully competent and be able to teach your fellow co-workers

Report potential hazards to your driller

Actively participate in hazard identification and control.

Actively participate in our training and competency program.

Actively encourage a positive attitude on the work site

Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses, hazards, and damaged equipment.

Ensure all B.O.P, kill line, & pump inspections / tests are performed in accordance with all current rules, regulations, and recommended practices

Must be aware of the location of all of our safety equipment and how to use it all times

Responsible to rig in all derrick, and derrick rescue equipment prior to work starting on any job, all equipment must be inspected and the inspections must be documented

Responsible for the setting up and taking down of any catwalk and pipe racks on site

Responsible for ensuring all winterizing requirements are met at all times
-
Participate in all safety meetings and help your crew members to understand the hazards of each task

Participate in all daily rig inspections and ensure they are completed and documented properly

Ensure all equipment it kept clean, tidy, and in safe working condition

Notify the driller of all off site injuries prior to the commencement of work
