DAVE ODGERS

PRESIDENT

Dave has been involved in the South East Saskatchewan oilfield his entire life. Growing up on a farm north of Oxbow, SK, he started as a service rig floor hand at the age of 16, working summers through high school and college.

In 1995, he joined Producers Pipelines Inc. (later, purchased by Enbridge Pipelines) as their first Information Systems Analyst where he developed the crude oil accounting and oil movements scheduling system. In 2008, Dave helped start Paragon Energy Services Saskatchewan Ltd, which primarily supplied the drilling industry with surface rental equipment. As Operation Manager, he pursued and secured contracts on a few Potash Exploration projects in the province, working with companies such as BHP, Potash One, Rio Tinto, Vale, Western Potash and PCS. The company quickly grew market share with a reputation for being service orientated, while being honest and fair with customers, with a keen focus on safety and written procedures.

In 2010, Dave and three local businessmen, incorporated Certified Energy Services.  Leading Certified with a focus on providing services that are accountable and reliable, the company has established itself as a trusted provider of well servicing operations for the energy industry.   In 2014 Certified expanded their operation from the oilfield to potash cavern workovers.  Having completed well over 2k cavern workovers, while implementing an observation-based safety program, Certified is leading the industry in cavern well workover experience.

As a proud citizen of Saskatchewan’s Metis nation, Dave is committed to finding opportunities for his fellow Metis citizen as well as our provinces First Nations people through meaningful employment opportunities and future business ventures.
